Most patients will leave the hospital after 23 hours for a simple overnight stay. There are circumstances where after an anterior cervical disc surgery a patient might need to stay in the hospital for two days. However, this is the exception, not the norm.

You may not be in the hospital at all. Some of these procedures were done in outpatient surgery centers and they often require only a 23 hour admission when they do. It is rare for patients to be in over a day. The average time was one day in the hospital but in most cases it's less. And I think in the future it will be less.
